As the CBSE Class 12 results 2025 are now declared, students across India are preparing to take the next step toward their academic and professional future. At this crucial time, BMIET Sonipat stands ready to welcome aspiring engineers, tech leaders, and business professionals through its AICTE-approved programs from NAAC A Grade University.

All final-year engineering students intending to pursue an Industrial internship or Institutional Project during their final semester are required to comply with the following:

1. Confirmation Deadline:  Submit confirmed offer details (company name, offer letter, and start date) to the Training & Placement Cell by the extended deadline of December 31st, 2024.
2. No Objection Certificate (NOC):  Prior to commencing the internship or on-the-job training, students must obtain an NOC from the institute. Provide the offer letter and a written request to the Training & Placement Cell for processing.
3. Duration Requirement: The internship must span a minimum of four months. Any internship shorter than this duration will not be approved for academic credit.
4. Full-Time Job Offers: Full-time job offers may be considered if they satisfy academic requirements and are approved by the institute, with provisions for leaves during midterm and final assessments.
5. Students who fail to submit their internship/on-the-job training offer details by the stated deadline will be presumed to continue with their Major Project work at the Institute from January 16, 2025, to May 20, 2025, as per the regular academic schedule.
6. Project Selection Details: Students who are not opting for an internship or whose internships are not approved must select a Major Project in lieu of industrial training. Form or join a team of 1–3 members (as per project guidelines) and submit your final selection to the Major Project Coordinator on or before January 10, 2025. The National Innovation and Start-up Policy (NISP) 2019 for students and faculty in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) was officially launched on 11th September 2019 at AICTE, New Delhi. This policy is designed to guide HEIs in promoting student-driven innovations and startups. It encourages both students and faculty members to actively engage in entrepreneurial activities within campus environments.

The policy aims to enable institutions to build, streamline, and strengthen their campus-based innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems. It fosters creative problem-solving, nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset among students, and promotes collaboration with ecosystem enablers and stakeholders at regional, national, and international levels.

The implementation of the policy is being overseen by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s MIC) in coordination with AICTE, UGC, state/UT governments, and universities. It builds upon the earlier AICTE Start-up Policy 2016 that complemented the Startup India and Stand-up India programs launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

GGSIPU has also established a dedicated Innovation and Incubation Centre to support students from the University and its affiliated colleges in their startup journeys.

Note for Students: Groups of students interested in launching their own startup ventures should connect with the Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) through their respective Heads of Departments (HoDs).
